The Magic of the Bowls
A first encounter with the Tibetian singing bowls is a chance of meeting a magical musical
Instrument and of meeting... Ones Self. The Magical sounds penetrate deep into your body
and soul, balancing and harmonizing them, and bringing to a pleasant relaxation in which the
awareness can return inward to its center of being. These sounds can remind us of Who we
really are, and of how we can really Be.

History The Singing Bowls originate from Tibet, and were
used by the Lamas (the Tibetian religious leaders) for
the purpose of healing and meditation, and in ancient times
also for Shamanic rituals. There is evidence of Singing
bowls existing as far as 4000 years ago (which means that
their origin is from before the Budhist time, when Tibet had
Tradition of Shamanic Rituals.

Producing a sound
The sounds produced from the bowls,
might resemble sounds of big church bells. Usually the sound gets lower and deeper as the bowl
is bigger and thicker. Producing a sound is done by striking the bowl with a special wooden stick
(striker) which is sometimes covered with a soft material like leather, velvet and so on.
A softer rapping for the stick  will allow the deeper-lower tones to come out of the bowl.
